Token Toss

Token Toss is a live, first-party reference application built by NanoRes Studios in partnership with Ghiblify Games. It was created alongside the Ghiblification Community Takeover and uses their $Ghibli token for microtransactions and level minting.

It exists to prove that the Open UGC stack works end-to-end in production conditions. The game is currently available on the Solana dApps Store, and players are already creating levels to share with friends. Players do not need to connect a wallet to pull in user-created levels. Only the Level Creator connects a wallet and pays a gas fee when they choose to mint (save on the Solana blockchain) their level. If you want to see the flow in action, try creating your own level in the free mobile game.

For a technical reference on how Token Toss level data is serialized for minting, see Token Toss level manifest structure.

What Token Toss Demonstrates

Token Toss shows that:

  • Users can create content inside a game
  • That content can be explicitly minted
  • Ownership is enforced on-chain
  • Metadata is stored permanently
  • Assets can be updated only by their owners
  • Games can integrate this flow without rewriting their engine

This is not a prototype video or mock demo. It is a running application with real users and real transactions.

What Token Toss Is Not

Token Toss is not:

  • The business model
  • The end state
  • A required platform for adoption

No platform needs to adopt Token Toss in order to adopt OGAL. Token Toss exists to reduce execution risk, not to capture market share.

Why This Matters

Many infrastructure projects are theoretically sound but unproven in real products.

Token Toss proves:

  • The protocol is usable
  • The tooling is viable
  • The design survives real constraints

That proof materially lowers execution risk.
