What token possession means

An accepted OGAL instruction may check that a signer controls a token account for the expected mint and that the account has a positive balance. That protocol condition is not a legal ownership decision.

Token possession and protocol state are separate from:

• copyright and authorship;
• a license to copy, modify, distribute, or commercialize content;
• legal title or property rights;
• application entitlement and platform access;
• gameplay authority and moderation;
• custody and wallet recovery;
• settlement, payouts, royalties, and other economic rights.

Applications and platforms apply their own accepted policies. Transfer uses SPL Token behavior outside OGAL.
